Tommi Tervonen achieved his PhD with the title "New directions in Stochastic Multicriteria Acceptability Analysis" from the Universities of Coimbra (Portugal) and Turku (Finland) in the fields of Computer Science and Management. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Econometric Institute of the Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

What is JSMAA?

JSMAA is an open source implementation of SMAA methods in Java. In the current development step, it implements SMAA-2 for MAUT-based ranking and SMAA-TRI for outranking-based sorting. For downloading the newest version, see here.

What is SMAA? SMAA stands for Stochastic Multicriteria Acceptability Analysis. It is a family of Multi-Criteria Decision Aiding (MCDA) methods that allow defining preference information and measurements with imprecise, uncertain, or missing values. Uncertainty can be quantified with various types of constraints and distributions. For more information, see publications.
